Content Description
Jay Stovall was a Pacific University Optometry School class of 1953 graduate. This collection includes his black letterman sweater, three honor society pins from the 1950s (including Omega Epsilon Phi, the Optometry honor society), a bell painted with the Pacific University colors of black and red. Several items dating from circa 2000 are also included: a rubber Boxer replica about 5" tall; a Boxer mascot bookmark; a Pacific University branded shot glass and two keychains.

Biographical Note
Dr. Jay Stovall was an optometrist who lived form 1923-2013. He served in the Army in World War II and after returning, attended the Univeristy of Montana and the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to study optometry at Pacific University in Oregon, where he graduated in 1953. Stovall practiced as a vision specialist in Marin County, California, for over 40 years.
