Abstract

The Forest Grove News-Times was the principal newspaper in the town of Forest Grove, Oregon, for most of the twentieth century. This collection includes approximately 1,000 photographic prints created by its photographers between the 1960s-1980s, mostly featuring individuals from the community, as well as some local events.

Historical Note

The Forest Grove News-Times was the principal newspaper in the town of Forest Grove, Oregon, for most of the twentieth century. With offices and printing facilities located in downtown Forest Grove, it covered local news and had a wide circulation within the community. Its photographers kept photographic prints on file in alphabetical order in case a file photograph might be needed again for publication at a later date.
