Historical Note
The annual Interstate High School Music Competition competition was sponsored by Pacific University's Conservatory of Music in Forest Grove, Oregon. It ran from 1924 until at least 1941. Contests were held in voice, piano and violin. Participants came from high schools principally from the Portland vicinity, Washington County, the Willamette Valley, Columbia River and Hood River areas in Oregon, and from south-central Washington state.
