The "Rugs of the Orient" was an address given by Mr. George Atiyeh, Governor Victor Atiyeh's father, at the Portland Art Class meeting held at the Portland Art Museum on December 16, 1936. According to Governor Atiyeh, he believed that the "Rugs of the Orient" was ghost-written for his father, as the voice was not that of his father's.
