Content Description

A pair of decorative metal pins related to the French province of Alsace, mounted on cardstock. The cards were being used as bookmarks a French Psalm book from 1689-1701, according to a note found with the items. The first is brass and depicts a stork carrying a banner from its beak reading "Salut d'Alsace". And the second is shaped as a shield has a blue cross with two horizontal bars overlaying a French flag with a cross symbol. The cards indicate that they were from two girls named Colette Eck and Jeanne Decker of Strasbourg, Alsace.
