Horace Lyman came to Oregon in 1849. He established the First Congregational Church in Portland, and in 1857 became a Professor in English at Pacific University. Three letters received by Horace Lyman regarding Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. The letters range between 1859 and 1863.
