An addition to the collection assembled by feminist activist Mary Whitmore through her work on women's rights between 1977-2020. Includes: Approximately 100 political buttons, mostly on feminist issues, from the late 1970s-circa 2000; -- Clippings relating to Whitmore's activism, including a laminated copy of the Life Magazine article showing her chained in defense of the ERA; -- Photographs of Whitmore, mostly featuring her activism; -- Photograph album with personal snapshots and several photographs of Whitmore as an activist; -- A set of pro-ERA bracelets that she designed; -- Report of the Washington State International Women's Year Conference, 1977; -- "The Spirit of Houston," the Report of the First National Women's Conference, 1978; -- "Together We Rise: The Women's March" book, 2017 (water damaged); 3 magazine issues on feminist topics. -- Also includes memorabilia and artifacts: 3 political t-shirts on feminist issues, circa 1980s; -- Coat hanger labelled "Early 20th Century Self-Abortion Tool"; -- 3 Dolls in original boxes depicting Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Batgirl and Wonder Woman; -- Blanket commemorating Women's Equality Day; -- Cloth bag commemorating Votes for Women
