Photographs and documents from members of the Tongue Family of Hillsboro, Oregon. Thomas Tongue, the patriarch of the family, was a graduate of Tualatin Academy and Pacific University. He later became an Oregon state senator and mayor of Hillsboro. He sent his children to school at his alma mater. Most of the material in this collection relates to the family members' attendance at Pacific University and Tualatin Academy between approximately 1863-1920. See inventory for more detail.
