Atiyeh's personal notes, including summaries of meetings and to-do lists. Also includes correspondence on topics such as potential business relationships, visa issues, pricing, and meetings with business executives from companies such as Hyundai Business Group, Daewoo Corporation, and Korean Air, as well as with politicians and diplomats such as U.S. Ambassador to Qatar Joseph Ghougassian, U.S. Ambassador to Syria Edward Djerejian, and President-elect George Bush's appointed Chief of Staff, New Hampshire Governor John Sununu. Also includes a copy of a letter from Atiyeh to a cousin in Syria, Aziz Atiyeh. [Removed from pressboard accordion binder]

Collection materials are primarily in English. Some materials relating to Atiyehâs travels and international activities, particularly brochures and press clippings, are in foreign languages, primarily Arabic, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. Some family materials and correspondence are in Arabic.

Collection is open for research. One file of materials is currently restricted to protect confidential identification and medical information.
Collection includes sound recordings and moving images on obsolete media to which access may be limited based on playback equipment limitations and preservation concerns.
