Personal notes and Christmas cards, demonstrating not only Atiyeh's political support of Bush (as in a note thanking Atiyeh for agreeing to serve on the national Steering Committee of the George Bush for President Campaign) but also their personal friendship. Includes a letter from Atiyeh's "Keeper Letters" file in which Bush congratulates him for winning the Citizen of the World Award and professes himself a member of the Victor Atiyeh fan club. Mostly incoming, though there are several copies of a supportive letter Atiyeh sent to Bush after his defeat in the 1992 presidential election. Several empty envelopes do not match any of the dated letters.

Collection materials are primarily in English. Some materials relating to Atiyeh’s travels and international activities, particularly brochures and press clippings, are in foreign languages, primarily Arabic, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. Some family materials and correspondence are in Arabic.

Conditions Governing Access

Collection is open for research. One file of materials is currently restricted to protect confidential identification and medical information.

Collection includes sound recordings and moving images on obsolete media to which access may be limited based on playback equipment limitations and preservation concerns.
