Contemporary records, 1940-2000
Scope and Contents
Most of the material from the era of 1940-1980 was organized by subject, and was largely left as is to be filed away in the archives. For example, files were given to the archives by the Board of Trustees office that seemed to previously be in filing cabinets, with some boxes being in complete ordered meeting minute files while others looked to have been put together where ever there was room left. Some boxes had financial papers filed with Trustee handbooks and President's reports. The files were organized as needed by order from minutes to President's reports to committtee records. For most records during the periodic years of 1980-2000 Board of Trustees organized files based on year rather than subject. This meant that financial statements, reports, miscellaneous and meeting minutes were filed together as long as they were documentation produced in the same year. With a few exceptions, most files were organized based on subject.
