This series includes records from various sources other than the President's Office or the Provost's Office. It includes correspondence with Matsushita, the largest donor of the PII and ultimately leading to the institute's launch of a number of programs, such as the 1990 symposium; materials regarding the Japan fellowship for teachers that existed for five consecutive years; newspaper clippings mentioning the institute's work; and video cassette tapes with local news coverage of the Pacific Intercultural Institute programs in 1988; and minutes from the Institute's meetings.
