Biographical Note
Robert Fry Clark was Pacific University's seventh president with a term lasting from 1919-1922. Clark obtained degrees from Oberlin and Chicago, however, the pressure to raise funds ended up being a major obstacle for this highly educated innovator. By the early 1920s Pacific was dangerously close to a close because of the lack of influxing funds in addition to ex-servicemen from the recently ended war being granted free tuition.
