Historical Note
Handbooks for Pacific University students were published beginning around 1903, sometimes with the cover title, "Rook Bible." The handbooks were especially intended for Freshmen and included descriptions of people, places and events that were useful for student life, e.g. lists of student organizations, traditions, school songs, student conduct rules, academic and event calendars, a daily schedule planner, etc.
