Dorothy Generaux Boxer Collection
Scope and Contents
A small collection of photographs and memorabilia relating to Pacific University's "Boxer" mascot and the Boxerettes Club, collected by Dorothy ("Dottie") Generaux of the Class of 1959. Items include: 4 photographs of Generaux holding Boxer circa 1957; 3 photographs of "tubbing" some male students who were involved in a Boxer Flash in 1956; a large Boxerettes patch with a tiny Boxer-shaped pin attached to it; "A History of Boxer" booklet; a copy of a drawing of "Ming," a bronze statue that was donated to Pacific in the 1940s; and several explanatory notes by Generaux.
The original photographs within this collection have been digitized and added to the Pacific University Archives digital exhibits site.

Biographical Note
Dorothy ("Dottie") Generaux was a Pacific University student of the Class of 1959. She was a member of the Theta Nu Alpha sorority and a Boxerette, which was a women's honorary service club. She attended Pacific for three years, leaving before graduation to get married when her partner was being drafted into the military.
