Scope and Contents From the Series: The Campaign and Election Papers series is divided into two subseries, Atiyeh Campaign Files and Collected Campaign Materials. Most of the records fall within the first subseries, and illustrate Atiyeh’s campaign efforts, with his winning 1978 campaign for governor being particularly well documented. Scope and Contents From the Series: The Personal Papers series primarily consists of documents relating to Atiyeh’s family, awards and honors won, his involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, and his involvement with his college fraternity, Epsilon Omicron. Letters Atiyeh wrote to his parents while he was attending the University of Oregon offer a detailed and candid insight into his life before entering office.
