Content Description
Used by the Apache in New Mexico and Arizona to cool and store water. Made of reeds woven with pieces of wood for handles. Pitch over all of inside and outside. 8 1/4" high. Mouth is 3 3/4" in diameter. Main part of jug is 9 1/4" in diameter. Two wooden handles woven into places and by using the handles it was hung in the shade. Wet cloths wrapped around whole to cool the water inside.
