Content Description
Quinault canoe model apparently made by George Bertrand in order to show how an ocean-going, whaling canoe was made from a log by the Makahs and Quinaults. On bottom of model it says "Manook's Indiancraft Quinault Indian Reserve". 12 1/4" by 1 3/4". Prow shaped so as to throw off waves. A real canoe could be made from one log seating 15-25 men.
