Content Description
Used for trade. Made of grasses. 3 1/2" tall, 4" in diameter. Natural color of grasses. Decorations are in brown, dark blue, and black woven in. 2 1/2" circles of woven grass placed on each side of the top in lieu of handles. Briefly appraised by Stephanie Craig (Grand Ronde basket weaver), 11/2018: From Washington. Made of root, probably cedar; colored portions are dyed beargrass. The loops in lieu of handles are unusual.
