Content Description
Used by the Pima for food storage and serving. Found at Sauer's Bar at the fork of the Klamath River in the area encompassing northern California and southern Oregon. Made of reed materials and maidenhair fern. 5 1/2" in diameter, 3 1/2" high. Design on outside in light tan, brown, and black (maidenhair fern is black). An alternate old Pacific Museum record for this item describes it as a basket from the Hupa in northern California. Made of beargrass. 5" in diameter, 2 1/2" high. Band of large beargrass in background, triangle design outlined in black.
