Content Description

Typewriter and case used in the early years of the opening of the Forest Grove Library, when it was built in 1907 in Forest Grove, Oregon. Ribbon is found in the center of the typewriter. It is not what is known as a standard keyboard. On the top of the typewriter is "No. 6 Blickensderfer, Stamford, Conn. U.S.A." It was owned by Mrs. O. M. Sanford, the town librarian. According to the old Museum Records, as of 1984, the case could not be found.
