Content Description

Purse used by Abigail Scott Duniway (1834-1915), the American women's rights advocate and newspaper writer and editor. Made of black velvet with design in black beads. The bag is attached to two wooden hooks 5" in diameter. The bag is 12" long, ending in a tassel 4 3/4" long. The design woven in beads depicts a basket.
