Used for writing, first in Canada and then they moved to Forest Grove, Oregon. The slate is 13 1/4" by 9 1/4" surrounded by a wooden frame 10/16" by 3/16" thick. Pencil is 2 1/4" long. Pencil holder is 7 1/2" by 1 1/4".
