White kidskin slippers with very low French heels and a silver buckle over a large bow in front. 9 1/2" long. Worn by Margaret McChesney Scott (Mrs. Harvey Scott) at her wedding on June 28, 1876, in Pennsylvania. She was married to Harvey Scott, the first graduate from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1863. The slippers were then worn by her daughter, Judith Scott Fields (Walter) at her first wedding in Portland, Oregon, on November 20, 1910, to Leroy Russel Fields.
