Continental currency, four dollar bill enclosed between glass. On the front is says "The United Colonies Four Dollars- Four Dollars No. A886A. This bill entitles the bearer to receive Four Spanish minted Dollars or the value thereof in Gold or Silver, according to the resolutions of the Congress, held at Philadelphia, the 10th of May, 1775." Signed by James Read. The back says "Four Dollars" and was printed by Hall & Sellers in Philadelphia, 1775.
