Content Description

Leather case used for carrying medicine by Dr. Geiger, Jr. in about 1850-1860 in Forest Grove, Oregon. Contains glass bottles and cork stoppers. 9" by 6 1/4" when open. 1 1/2" by 6 1/4" when closed. Has loops of leather to hold nineteen 2 1/4" by 2 1/2" bottles with stoppers. Fifteen bottles of medicine are in the case, some of the medicine is in powdered and some is in pill form. Most of the bottles do not have a label.
