Content Description

Candle mold made of tin. Used to make tallow candles. 10 5/8" by 7 1/2" with a curved handle. Holds twelve candles approximately 3/4". Belonged to Tabitha Brown. Brown (1780-1858) who was one of the founders of Tualatin Academy (later Pacific University) in Forest Grove, Oregon. According to the old Pacific Museum records, this record may be a duplicate record for MUS.268, also titled "Tabitha Brown candle mold".
