Model of the Astoria Column that was built to commemorate the founding of Astoria, Oregon. Made of wood, paper, and metal. 18" tall overall, 3" foundation, 3 1/4" top with "fence" around where visitors may view the countryside after climbing the 166 step circular stairway inside. Depicted on the column is a pictorial frieze of the history of the region.
