Content Description

A collection of nine photographs taken in Portland and Forest Grove, Oregon. They belonged to Harvey Scott, the first graduate from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1863. The collection includes photographs of: the view of the Portland home of Harvey Scott, Mrs. Margaret McChesney Scott (wife of Harvey Scott and mother of Leslie Scott, Ambrose Scott, and Judith Scott), a picture of Harvey W. Scott seated on a slop reading a newspaper (foundation of a painting), a baby picture of Judith Scott (Harvey Scott's daughter), Judith Scott at about eight years of age, Judith Scott at about twelve years of age, Judith Scott at about fourteen years of age, Judith Scott at about sixteen years of age, and Judith Scott in her wedding dress.
