Color reproduction of a painting of Elkanah Walker. Painted at Tsimikan in 1847. 8" by 10" plus wood frame. The Walkers were one of the first families to settle in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1844 and set aside large pieces of land for Tualatin Academy (later Pacific University) and a neighborhood that is now known as the Walker Naylor Historic District.
