Content Description
Dress made of black silk with blue sprigs of flowers. Lace lining and buckram, also with stays or whalebones. Long skirt with two rows of small ruffles at the bottom. Lines throughout. Waist and skirt are separate. Waist darted in and "boned". Bow of ribbon in the back. Black lace over solid blue in front of the blouse, on the cuffs and collar. From Portland, Oregon. Made in the 1880s or 1890s and shows the style of dress of the period well.
