Baby dress made of white cotton. 54" long, bodice is tucked, long sleeves. Made in Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1877 or 1878 to be worn by either Elda or Leva Walker, the grandchildren of Elkanah and Mary Richardson Walker. The Walkers were one of the first families to settle in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1844 and set aside large pieces of land for Tualatin Academy (later Pacific University) and a neighborhood that is now known as the Walker Naylor Historic District.
