Content Description

Curt Stamey Oral Interpretation Award from the forensics team at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Transcription of label on the award: "I leave this trophy to honor and recognize the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of oral interpretation through his or participation in forensics. It is not important to me whether or not the person has won any laurels, but rather that he or she was in there trying, and did not give up when the going got rough. In addition to this I feel that the individual should meet the standards of excellence in scholarship and personal integrity, which the Pacific University forensics team has always maintained." The award was first presented to Kathi Haynes in 1969 and lastly to Stacey Torigiani in 1989. Wood base with tinplate face. A decorative man stands on top. 15" high, 5 1/2" wide. Made of wood, tinplate, and plastic. Brown and gold in color.
