Kalapuya small stone pestle

Content Description
Used for grinding food. Made of stone. Found near old Native American burial ground in Tualatin Valley- 3 miles west of Gaston, Oregon. Based on this location, they were likely made by the Kalapuya. 6 1/2" long, 2" wide, 1 7/8" deep and 3.75 inches long, 1.5 inches wide. Pounding on end of longer pestle is chipped due to percussion.
