Kalapuya large stone pestle

Content Description
Used for grinding food. Made of stone. Found near old Native American burial ground in Tualatin Valley- 3 miles west of Gaston, Oregon. Based on the location, it was likely made by the Kalapuya. 6 3/4" long, 3" wide, 2 3/4" deep. Handle end has big piece broken off. Flat bottom with percussion flakes taken from the bottom edges.
