Mary Whitmore Ms. Magazine Collection
Content Description
A collection of approximately 110 issues of Ms. Magazine dating from the 1970s through mid-1980s, with a smaller number of issues dating from the late 2010s-early 2020s. Ms. Magazine is an American feminist magazine co-founded in 1971 by Gloria Steinem. For many years, it was the most prominent nationally distributed feminist magazine. The collection was donated to the Pacific University Archives by feminist activist and retired teacher, Mary Whitmore. Whitmore received the 1970s-1980s issues as a gift from a friend; the 2010s-2020s issues were from her own subscription. Most issues are in fair to good condition. Note: Issues from this donation were added to an existing run of Ms. Magazine, SER.6.
