His daughter wrote: "My parents, Dorothy Gillmore Main (1931-35) and Robert F. Main (1932-36) both graduated from Pacific (as did my sister Kathy White), and my great aunt, Dr. Beatrice Young, was a professor at the college teaching languages in the 1930’s. Dad was on the track and football teams."
