Special promotional supplement to Oregon Magazine. 4 copies. - Circular letter from President Robert Duvall, probably related to fundraising for the Pacific Century Campaign, accompanied by clippings. 27 Jan 1992. - Clipping titled "A classic example of a scholarship winner," from July 1991 issue of "The Challenge of the Cancer Federation" - Letter from President John Dobbs enclosing a clipping - Circular letter signed "The Faculty," probably by H. L. Bates, about a "day of prayer for colleges" (1898) [Moved to Bates Papers, MS.29] - Fundraising letter from the Dean of Women to alumni about raising funds for furniture for Herrick Hall (1907) - Program for a Fourth of July event: "National celebration at Forest Grove, Or., July 4, 1891" (1891) - Washington County Museum brochure, circa 1980s? - Linn County Historical Society map / brochure, circa 1970s? - Banks Junior High Smokesignals newsletter: "Special edition: Banks by-gone days." Reproduces a historic map of Banks and information about its historic businesses and buildings. (1976) - Anna Berliner memorial service program (1978) Folder 2: [Moved to RG.7.410] - "The Would Be" - early satirical newspaper by Pacific University students. "Circulation 60 copies." 7 issues. These issues may have belonged to A. J. Prideaux; they were found with other material that belonged to him. (1898) Folder 3: - 5 letters addressed to Henry D. Smith, Pacific University professor, regarding organized labor. They appear to have been written in response to a question about universities and organized labor. The authors of the letters are: Benjamin Wheeler (President of the University of California); the Secretary of the Department of Commerce and Labor; William Harper (President of the University of Chicago); John Mitchell (President of the United Mine Workers of America); and Henry C. Potter (Bishop of the Episcopal Church of America). - Ella Pringle Young's original letter that accompanied her donation of Tabitha Brown's school bell to Pacific University. Young was her granddaughter. - Letter to Mrs. Thacher, president of the Pacific University Women's Club, from Charles Woodbury (1913) - Letter to "My dear Miss [illegible]", from an illegible correspondent in London (1900) - Letter from Alphonse Louis Pinart of Paris, requesting a handwritten copy of "Etshiit thlusitskai...," a rare Lapwai Mission Press book (1898) - Draft of a unsigned letter by Henry Spalding, to "My Dear L.B. & B," who probably were members of the Spokane Tribe. The letter urges them to write a petition asking for him to be sent as a missionary to their tribe. Accompanied by one-page note in an unidentified Native American language (possibly Spokane?).
