Scope and Contents

This collection contains miscellaneous small collections consisting of one folder or less of material, most of which are related to the history of Pacific University. The items come from a variety of sources. Many were formerly stored in flat files in the Archives' "Pacificana" collection. These items were consolidated into this one larger artificial collection in order to facilitate their storage and discoverability.

Dates

  • Creation: 1880-2018

Historical Note

The Pacific University Archives has been the university's repository for permanent records since the 2000s. Prior to that time, a variety of different collections on campus compiled files related to the university's history, including the Old College Hall Museum, the Rare Book Room and "Pacificana" Collections of the Library, and others. This artificial collection brings together single manuscripts and small collections of items that were compiled by the Pacific University Archives and its predecessors.
