Scope and contents note
The record book includes the constitution of the association and minutes from its annual meetings. It is accompanied by several loose pieces of paper, including meeting minutes related to "an informal conference of teachers" held at Pacific University in 1898; an announcement related to an annual meeting of the Lower Willamette Teachers Association in 1903; a letter related to the Lower Willamette College Association annual meeting in 1904; and several other miscellaneous items.

Copyright for materials authored or otherwise produced as official business of Pacific University is retained by Pacific University and requires its permission for publication. The College Association of the Lower Willamette Valley was an organization that brought together faculty members from several small private colleges near Portland, Oregon. Its member institutions were Pacific University in Forest Grove, Pacific College (later renamed George Fox University) in Newberg, St. Helens Hall in Portland and Portland Academy. Faculty from all the schools attended its meetings, where academic papers were read, mostly on the topics of humanities and education. The association functioned approximately between 1900-1904.
