Margaret Dolly Hinman was the great-granddaughter of Alanson Hinman, one of the earliest and most notable pioneers to settle in the Forest Grove area of Washington County, Oregon. The photograph album contains 40 photographs, mostly portraits of her family and friends.

Malcolm and Catherine McIntosh were a prominent family of Salem, Oregon, who later moved to the Orenco area of Hillsboro. The four photograph albums in this collection contain approximately 200 portrait photographs, most dating from around 1880 to 1900, probably depicting their family and friends.

Laduska Jane Walker Sears lived from 1857-1903 in Polk County, Oregon. Her diary and recipe book contains a short entry for nearly every day from January-August 1876, when she was about 19 years old, as well as recipes.

LeRoy and Reatha Smith were Pacific University graduates who were active in the field of education in Oregon and California. The collection includes correspondence, diaries, notes, educational records, photographs and other material.
