The Board of Trustees are a group of volunteers that act as a governing body of the corporation that is Pacific University. The Board of Trustees office records include items owned by individual board members such as board directories and handbooks; and items owned by the office such as financial papers, memos, by-laws, meeting minutes, correspondence and miscellaneous documents.

Thomas McClelland was Pacific University's fourth president, serving from 1892-1900. This collection is primarily composed of correspondence that President McClelland received and wrote during his time at Pacific University.

Walter C. Giersbach was president of Pacific University from 1941-1953. The collection is comprised of office records from his presidency, as well as a small collection of documents by his wife, Marion Giersbach.

Pacific University, founded in 1849, has advertised itself through promotional publications since the late 1800s. This collection includes viewbooks, pamphlets, fliers, brochures, postcards, calendars and other material that the university issued in order to attract new students, aid fundraising efforts, and advertise its activities.
